Hinduism, Intriguing Mahabharata, Mysteries, Science & Challenges

Time and again, the grand Hindu foundation has been acclaimed to be of greater intensity than we realize today. Excerpts from Vedic legends to Ramayana and Mahabharata and the entire foundation of infinite Gods have all struck a chord with Modern-day beliefs and even scientific findings. However, lack of physical evidence to validate these facts has turned out to be a major disadvantage on the part of Hindu traditions, owing to which Many of the validations go dismissed. There are still Mysteries out there waiting to be solved. There are still discoveries waiting to be made if we are curious enough to challenge our existing beliefs and look for the evidence. If only a quarter of the Mysteries in the world get solved, then the current world May not look like what it is today. It can change all our concepts regarding human evolution, our past, history of the earth, space, universe, time, in fact, everything. Here is a detailed discussion about Hindu epic Mahabharata which is enough to blow your Mind and provoke thoughts.

Introduction to Mahabharata

The Mahabharata is an ancient Hindu Indian epic where the Main story revolves around two branches of a family – the Pandavas and Kauravas – who, in the Kurukshetra War, battle for the throne of Hastinapura. At 100,000 verses, it is the longest epic poem ever written, generally thought to have been composed in 3000 B.C. The events in the epic play out in the Indian subcontinent and surrounding areas. The Great War took place 5 thousand years ago.

The battle raged for 18 days. The army totalled 18 akshauhinis, 7 on the Pandava side and 11 on the Kaurava (1 akshauhini = 21,870 chariots + 21,870 elephants + 65,610 horses + 109,350 soldiers on foot). When it all ended, the Pandavas had won the war. Casualties on both sides were high. The total number of deaths due to war was 1 billion, 660 Million, and 20,000.

The first thing that comes to our Mind when we hear the word Mahabharata is WAR. When we say war here, it does not just Mean foot soldiers or kings fighting. We are talking about godlike warriors fighting the Most invincible warriors. If the warriors by themselves were considered undefeatable, then how powerful Must their weapons be. It is hard to believe the fact that there were arrows that could split into four or there were Mantras that could arm the arrows with Nuclear Power to cause great devastation (as written in the Mahabharata).

Weapons used in Mahabharata

The loss of innumerable human lives lost as a result of Mahabharata War brings us to the topic of Mass destructive weapons used in those times. On Mahabharata, numerous celestial weapons were used during the course of the story. Among the various weapons used few had immense power; they could destroy continents, even planets if desired.  Few of the Most dangerous weapons with their Modern-day analogy are listed below:

  1. Rudrastra

It is a weapon of Lord Shiva. It was described to have the destructive power of Lord Shiva. When launched, this Weapon was ready to kill enemies in thousands by an intense beam of laser. Modern-day analogy- A gun capable of creating a strong beam of a laser, which vaporizes anything that comes in its path

  1. Brahmastra

The reign but a weapon that could destroy the Multidimensional physical region at once. The Brahmastra was believed to cause severe environmental damage, the land where the weapon was used became barren and all life in and around that area ceased to exist, as both Men and women became infertile. It can be compared with Modern-day Nuclear Bombs.

  1. Brahmashirsha Astra

It is considered an upgraded version of the Brahmastra. It was four times deadlier than Brahmastra. The destruction due to this weapon is similar to a hydrogen bomb or thermonuclear hydrogen bomb in Modern day analogy.

  1.  Bhramhadanda

This Weapon is Mentioned as the Weapon superior to any other weapon in terms of capabilities and the destruction it could cause. It had the ability to nullify the effects of any weapons. Most importantly, it can swallow anything that it is targeted on. Modern Day Analogy – It is a device capable of creating Black holes.  It would suck all of the universes if operated at full capacity.

The architect of the Modern atomic bomb Robert Oppenheimer who was in charge of the Manhattan Project was asked by a student after the Manhattan explosion, “How do you feel after having exploded the first atomic bomb on earth”. Oppenheimer’s reply to the question was, “not the first atomic bomb, but the first atomic bomb in Modern times”. He had a passionate lifelong fascination for the Bhagwad Geeta and strongly believed that nukes were used in ancient India. What Made Oppenheimer believe that it was a nuclear war was the accurate descriptions of the weapons used in the Mahabharata war in the epic which Matches with that of Modern nuclear weapons?

Did warriors of Mahabharata have an advanced science technology? And how come, this knowledge did not pass through to the present generation? Can we get the knowledge through the ancient texts? These are some of the questions that we find hard to get answers.

Mysteries in the world and their connection to Mahabharata

  1. The Great Sphinx of Giza- It is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a Mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. It was believed and accepted for a very long time that Sphinx was built by Pharaoh Khafra in 2500 B.C because we can’t date stone. But in 1990, Robert Schoch, a professor of Geology at Boston University, performed some tests which shocked the world.  His tests showed that the erosions on the Sphinx and on the walls of the enclosure surrounding Sphinx were caused by heavy rainfall. It is a fact that it has not rained in Egypt after about 5000 or 6000 B.C which Means the Sphinx had to be older than at least 6000 B.C or Maybe it can be even older than that. So the question is- Who built it? We were all cavemen using stone tools during that time according to our evolution timeline. We didn’t have science and technology to build a Massive structure like Sphinx (of dimension 20 M x 19 M x 73 M), yet somebody did.
  2. Alexander-The Great- We all know that Alexander-The Great, a king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon, existed around 350 BCE. But there is absolutely no archeological evidence to prove Alexander existed. Everything we know about him comes from the writings by three historians who lived between 150 and 400 years after Alexander died. But Alexander’s story is not Mythology; it is called history although it lacks evidence except those writings.
  3. Stonehenge- It consists of a ring of standing stones, each around 13 feet high, seven feet wide, and weighing around 25 tons built in 2400 B.C. How did they lift such heavy stones 13 feet up in the air and put them on the top? The complex engineering involved in Stonehenge using a technique called Mortise-Tenon joint in Modern carpentry is even More Mind-blowing. In the 1950s, they reconstructed Stonehenge using Massive cranes but in 2400 B.C people didn’t have cranes. The engineering work is so complex that it requires technologies like in Modern days to build a Massive structure like this. How did they do this?
  4. Denisova hominins- In 2008, a group of archeologists working in a cave in Russia called Denisova cave discovered a big tooth of surface area 2.5 times More than human tooth. It was thought to belong to one of the large extinct animals. But after performing DNA tests, they were shocked knowing that it belonged to a human being. The human species, which we did not know existed until that tooth was found, were named Denisovans. Here, I’m Mentioning a few of the amazing scientific discoveries about Denisovans that can be thought-provoking. First, all the people living today in geographical areas extending from Papua New Guinea to  Iraq via Indian Subcontinent and up to Denisova Cave (Russia) have Denisovan DNA in their DNA(2.4%). Another amazing fact is scientists found a 30-40 thousand years old bracelet believed to be Made by Denisovans. The bracelet had a very small hole of 1 Mm diameter which scientists claim that it could only be Made using a high-speed drill otherwise the stone would have shattered. A high-speed drill 30,000 years ago? Just like we have Denisovan DNA, the Denisovans have DNA belonging to another human species which we have not yet discovered. There are still Mysteries out there waiting to be solved. There are still discoveries waiting to be Made if we are curious enough to challenge our existing beliefs and look for the evidence.

Now, let’s come back to some unanswered questions about Mahabharata. Did the events described in the Mahabharata actually happen? There is absolutely no archeological evidence to prove this war happened but there is also no archeological evidence that proves Alexander-The Great existed.

Is it possible that the weapons described in Mahabharata actually existed? Did they have the scientific knowledge to create those kinds of weapons? Are there scientific explanations for Many of the wondrous things described in Mahabharata? We can’t say for sure. But what we do know for sure is that 30-40 thousand years ago, there were people, who we didn’t know about until now, had some kind of technology. We don’t know what it was but they had. We know that they had engineering techniques to create complex things like in the above-mentioned Mysteries, some of which we can’t do today even if we want to do. We can’t build the great pyramid today if we want to.

Were there really giants in the past like described in the Mahabharata? Well, the Denisovans Must have been pretty big people. It is described in Mahabharata that Pandavas at that time were 7-8.5 feet tall.  I’m not saying that Denisovans are the people in Mahabharata but it’s interesting to think about it. These are things enough to challenge our thoughts and look for More

Shreds of evidence that support Mahabharata

If there is a word for the Most incredible tale ever told – then it is the story of the Mahabharata. There is a great debate about whether there is any historical accuracy in the story of Mahabharata. This narrative is so remarkable that it has Made numerous people speculate – ‘Did it really happen?’ Let’s find some answers.

A recent study used computer simulations to try and find a set of eighteen days with exactly the same planetary alignments as described during the war, and they discovered that this happened in 3126 BC- around five thousand years ago, as the book says! Some of the other answers say that Maybe the Mahabharata presented is exaggerated, or fictionalized, and so on. There is no evidence for such a claim. Nowhere in the Mahabharata, or anywhere in the entire body of Vedic knowledge, is it stated that the Mahabharata is fictional. In fact, there are references to it as being the fifth Veda. The Bhagavad Geeta is considered an Upanishad by itself.

Similarly, the description of Kaliyuga (current world) as Mentioned in Mahabharata is an interesting thing to look upon. Whatever Krishna said tallies with creepy, Mysterious accurateness with Modern life as it exists today. It is unbelievable that the Modern-day we are living in is described in Bhagavad Geeta which was written 5 thousand years ago. This can no way be fiction writing.  It is unlikely because there are way too Many corroborations and tallying circumstances for it to be fiction.

The Sanskrit verse from the Mausala Parva 7 verse 40 of the Mahabharata, describes the disappearance of the city of Dwarka into the sea. Marine archaeology has also been utilized in India off the coast of the ancient port city of Dwarka in Gujarat, uncovering further evidence in support of statements in the Vedic scriptures. An entire submerged city at Dwarka, the ancient port city of Lord Krishna with its Massive fort walls, piers, wharves, and jetty has been found in the ocean as described in the Mahabharata and other Vedic literature.

There are Authentic Verses from Mahabharata: “Gurkha, flying a swift and powerful Vimana (fast aircraft) hurled a single projectile (rocket) charged with the power of the Universe (nuclear device). An incandescent column of smoke and flame, as bright as ten thousand suns, rose with all its splendor.”  Mahabharata picks up the thread of the tale of devastation and destruction. Sanskrit scholars could not comprehend what was being described in it until the dropping of the first atomic bomb on Japan.

Mohenjo Daro- Mohenjo Daro was a city during Indus valley civilization which is a place in Modern-day Pakistan. This civilization preceded those of Egypt and Mesopotamia before disappearing around 1500 BC.  During excavations by archaeologists in the 1920s, 37 skeletons, often incomplete, were uncovered. According to some authors and websites, scientists have Measured a radioactivity level 50 times higher than normal in these skeletons. This proves beyond doubt that the city was destroyed by a nuclear weapon.  So I decided to look for the source of this information.  A book named ‘Riddles of Ancient History’ written by a historian Alexander Gorbovsky presents a passage about Mohenjo Daro- “There are some other finds that also surprise the investigator. In this regard, one is reminded of the find of a human skeleton in India, in which radioactivity was 50 times higher than normal! (ref. “Problems of Space Biology”, vol. II, p.23). The deposits that were found in the skeleton could only have had such high radioactivity if this person, who died 4,000 years ago, had eaten food, which contained radioactivity hundreds of times higher than normal.”

Although there are controversies regarding this but if the facts written in this book are true about Mohenjo Daro, then it is possible that references regarding nuclear weapons on Mahabharata are true and ancient human civilization was not as ancient as we think it was. It can be an interesting thing to think about and opens the door for further research.

What if Miracles in Mahabharata are actually something that can be described?

Here is a compiled list of what can be safely termed as ‘coincidences’ from Hindu traditions, that strike a perfect chord with Modern-day scientific innovation.

  1. In Bhagavad Geeta, Lord Krishna says that the soul is immortal and talks about reincarnation. The soul never dies but changes the body like we change our clothes. According to researcher Stuart Hameroff, consciousness originates from quantum states in neural Microtubules. He along with Sir Roger Penrose proposing the ‘Theory of Quantum Consciousness’  tried to explain the experiences at the border of death. The two scientists Monitored people near death. The observations showed that the Microtubules in the brain of people close to death showed the loss of a ‘substance’. The substance doesn’t degrade but disperses out of the body. In fact, in cases of ‘awakening’, the substance returns inside the Microtubule. It Means, while dying, a special type of energy disperses out of the human Mind. According to the conservation of energy, energy can neither be created nor can be destroyed; it can only change forms. So the thing Shree Krishna said 5 thousand years ago about the soul and its changing bodies can be considered as an analogy with this theory.
  2. The Gravitational Time dilation concept has been incorporated in Mahabharata. According to Hinduism, one day for a Deva (Angels of Hinduism) is equal to one human year. Every Month we spend on earth equals 2 hrs time duration at Heaven as perceived by a Deva. Also in Hinduism, the Months of Margazhi (Dec-Jan) are considered as auspicious as it forms the Morning time for a Deva at heaven.

2 Ayanas (6-month periods) = 1 human year or 1 day of the Deva.

4,000 + 400 + 400 = 4,800 divine years
(= 1,728,000 human years) = 1 Satya Yuga

3,000 + 300 + 300 = 3,600 divine years
(= 1,296,000 human years) = 1 Treta Yuga

2,000 + 200 + 200 = 2,400 divine years
(= 864,000 human years) = 1 Dwapara Yuga

1,000 + 100 + 100 = 1,200 divine years
(= 432,000 human years) = 1 Kali Yuga

12,000 divine year = 4 Yugas (= 4,320,000 human years) = 1 Maha-Yuga

1000 Maha-Yugas = 1 Kalpa = 1 day (day only) of Lord Brahma

According to the theory of relativity, time is not a constant and gravity affects time which Means the time that we experience at one planet is dependent on its gravity. Considering the above situations we could consider that devas are one who live on a nearby planet having high gravitational pull.

Similarly, in Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta (from 9.3.29 to 9.3.32), there is a story Mentioned in which a Man with his daughter goes to Lord Brahma in Brahma Lok, a different realm. When he asked for his departure to Lord Brahma after staying there for less than an hour, Brahma replied to him that Millions of years had already passed on Earth (116,640,000 years). Isn’t it Mind-blowing? This all sounds nonsense until we connect it with time dilation.

  1. The concept of parallel Multiverses is Mentioned Many times in Hindu Puranic literature, such as in the Bhagavata Purana:

Every universe is covered by seven layers – earth, water, fire, air, sky, the total energy, and false ego – each ten times greater than the previous one. There are innumerable universes besides this one, and although they are unlimitedly large, they Move about like atoms in ‘You’. Therefore You are called limitless (Bhagavata Purana 6.16.37)

How did people even guess things like this, thousand of years ago?

  1.  A perfect anecdote of surrogacy, which was a science conceptualized in the 1903s, can be seen from Mahabharata. Balarama, the son of Devaki and Vasudev, was born through the womb of Rohini, transferred by Goddess Yogamaya. Any other terms for that except surrogacy?
  2. We all know it is impossible for one woman to give birth to a hundred children. Gandhari, however, did – but through a highly complex and Monitored technique checked by sage Vyasa. All that Gandhari gave birth during Mahabharata was a lump of flesh after carrying it in her womb for two years. However, sage Vyasa cut the flesh into 100 pieces, placed each piece in a different jar filled with some substance(scriptures call it oil which has a Modern analogy with coconut oil as growth Medium), and there emerged 100 children from the single lump. Today, we call the very process cloning.
  3. Any body part that was chopped off a God or a demon would grow back in Hindu legends. Doesn’t that clearly define what we term ‘cell regeneration’?
  4. The Sushruta Samhita written 3000 years ago in 1000 B.C. is a Manual on brain surgery and one of its techniques called the Flap technique of Plastic Surgery is still in use today.
  5. Dronacharya, the teacher of warriors in Mahabharata, was born in a tube outside of a human body which contained semen. Doesn’t it sound like a test tube?

Well, co-incidental or perfectly scientific, the sad truth is that we do not have enough Material evidence that can validate these beliefs. Yet, comprehending the fact that beliefs need no validation, Hindu people take the liberty to claim that Hinduism was truly a highly advanced way of life even since its inception. Proofs are also left behind by those sages who performed such Miraculous activities. What we term as Miracles could actually have been science, whose evidences were washed out as times changed to Kali Yuga. People like to term them beliefs and not Myths; for creation is infinite, and it all exists.

Challenge Your Thoughts

The only reason why we would like to call Mahabharata fictional is our discomfort with accepting the descriptions of subtle technologies and Metaphysics- which is our limitation and has no bearing at all on the actual truth value of the Mahabharata. We shouldn’t Make baseless comments just out of a need to fit the Mahabharata into our world view! Such interpretation and ‘wise’ commentary are exactly what have obscured and Misrepresented so Much of ancient culture and history.

After all these proofs of existence of the varieties of instances that have happened in the Mahabharata along with the Many predictions of Krishna that sound true to this day, it is not good to ignore divine Mahabharata stating it is false, Misrepresented, and Mythology. It would be a waste to humanity if all of this intense work of recording which was done for nothing in return goes to the ignorance side of humans.

All the things Mentioned above are surprising, thought-provoking, and astounding. We can draw Many conclusions from them and can open Many doors for exciting research which, if proved true, can change our entire understanding of current theories of evolution and the ancient world. If proved true, we can conclude that Modern-day humans May not be the Most intelligent humans and our past May not be like what we think. We humans May have had a different history.

If we do not know where we come from, we do not know who we are. And then how can we know where we are going?

WHAT IF, ALL OF MAHABHARATA IS TRUE?

Let the Dharma Guide you.

Within the span of most executives’ careers, advances in technology have reshaped how consumers engage with brands. In the US and UK, more than 60% of consumers now discover products online, and 85% of millennials trust reviews from a faceless stranger more than traditional advertising. The same technology advances have dramatically altered the competitive landscape. CMOs can no longer forecast forward their current profit pools only by looking to fill in geographies and nearby product market segments. That process risks ignoring the industry’s disruptive trends, as profit pools shift quickly from products to services to experiences and communities, and as mass products evolve into new segments with accelerating personalization. Growth strategy today requires consumer products companies to look “present forward” and “future back”—to create a faster horse while envisioning the car—in order to define new growth platforms beyond their current products, business model and capabilities.

Upgrade Content Creation Capabilities

Fueling the blur of combat is a radical shift in brand growth models. However, the transformation still required across the industry is significant, involving far-reaching changes to consumer products companies’ growth models and the largest buckets of their discretionary spending. And it’s urgent, as consumers and new competitors are moving faster than incumbents can react.

“I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure. It is: Try to please everybody.”
DAVID OSWALD

What’s the right path forward? Reinventing the brand growth model requires more than a reallocation of marketing budget to digital. CMOs need a reassessment of growth platforms and future brand portfolios, a new understanding of the consumer journey, a supporting strategy on data and technology.

The consumer journey has fundamentally changed, and so has the role of the brand manager. Once guardians of the brief to agencies, today they must lead hands-on content generation, data management.
